Often after a more or less significant weight loss, the skin of the inner arms becomes slack. The facelift then consists of tightening the arms and excising the excess skin. However, there are different degrees of skin laxity and there are ways to correct this with modern techniques without scars. In other cases, a simple aspiration of the subcutaneous fat will be enough to cause a retraction of the skin and thus correct the unsightly aspect. This procedure can be done under local or general anesthesia (depending on the patient’s wishes) but does not require hospitalization.
